Prevention is better than cure. If Cannabis can cure many horrible diseases, can it also help prevent these diseases from developing in the first place? The reality of the situation says so and scientific research is just catching up on the idea. It’s time to eradicate toxic pharmaceuticals.

Majority of pharmaceutical companies today produce synthetic drugs which have horrible side effects and causes more harm to the patients rather than curing their conditions. Many of these drugs are tested on animals who live under very horrible conditions. It is needless to say that this industry is unethical and highly immoral. Many of the drugs enter the market without proper cure rates even after clinical trials. Incomplete medicines which are synthetic and have terrible testing methods with low cure rates are being sold to our people at extremely high costs. Pharmaceutical companies are also extremely toxic to the environment at the places or areas where it is manufactured. Cannabis is a wholesome medicine used for thousands of years. It has no known harmful side effects. It needs no animal testing when used naturally. It can completely cure or help efficiently control hundreds of diseases. It doesn’t poison the environment and most importantly, it heals the body, mind and the spirit of a person at the same time.

We have the right to protect the earth.

As beings who belong to this planet, we have every right to protect the earth, our only home.  Fortunately we now know that the only way of protecting our home comes from growing, producing and consuming only eco-friendly products and Cannabis-Hemp is the most excellent eco-friendly alternative to all our needs, but unfortunately it is prohibited without any justification.  Criminalising the act of growing this plant is against our duties of protecting our only home and the many billions of our fellow earthlings.

“I don’t know if this plant can save  the world. But it is only thing that can.”
– Jack Herer.

Do not encourage yellow journalism, lies and other propagandas.

Laws are supposed to make sense and help to create better societies.  When laws are based on lies and propaganda, it warrants the need to be removed as soon as possible. This is especially true when it affects the lives of billions of people.  The prohibition of this plant is based on lies and propaganda adopted from the international governments of countries that are now legalising it themselves. They said Cannabis was a dangerous drug, when it is in fact a safe medicine.  They said it was a psychologically degrading substance when it is in fact a plant produced by nature which elevates spirituality, love, peace and kindness.  They said it produces psychopaths when in fact it produces the most revolutionary minds and souls getting closer everyday to their purpose of life.

Cannabis doesn’t deserve penalisation.

It is our universal right to use everything that nature has given us.  Mother nature answered all our needs through this one plant.  Mis-information, corruption and the globally prevalent trend of bad governance are collectively responsible for categorising one of the most useful plants and a medicinal herb, as a schedule one drug alongside a list of genuinely toxic and  lethal chemicals. According to the law, one can be arrested with a non-bailable offence for growing, using or trading this plant.  Adding Cannabis under the NDPS law has made life miserable for millions of users, traders, growers, farmers, etc.  Moreover, what is the point in having a government licensed Cannabis shop in one place and still denying a medicine to millions and arresting thousands of them across the country.

An opportunity to destroy organised illegal drug trade.

For thousands of years, Cannabis has been used a medicinal plant, spiritual tonic and  to produce many domestic products.  Prohibition of the plant has apparently not worked, and it has given birth to the organised drug trade.  Moreover, this illegal trade is highly unregulated, unmonitored and goes unchecked.  The plant matter that is used for smoking is being adulterated or poisoned with harmful chemicals to produce a ‘stronger experience’.  People who could have had access to a safer herb are now faced with the threat of consuming something highly toxic and possibly lethal in attempts to experiencing this culture or to cure themselves, putting the lives of millions of Cannabis users at risk. Organised drug trades help catalyse black money, crime and many other illegal activities.  The way to destroy this organised drug trade is to legalise the plant, regulate the use of its products, and to use the tax money thus generated to produce a better society for everyone to live in.

Cannabis helps in de-addiction.

One of the most amazing things about Cannabis is the kind of perspective that its users can achieve towards different events of life.  Many times, addiction is simply a loop of bad patterns which is a result of mental or physical craving.  People who use Cannabis regularly can recognise these patterns of addictions much easily, and gain stronger willpower to overcome that problem. Cannabis helps you to defeat or destroy your bad habits.  Many people who consume Cannabis regularly have successfully overcome their addictions to alcohol, smoking cigarettes, mental and physical aggression, being stuck in loops of negative thoughts, depression, unhealthy diets, living a dangerous lifestyle, being lazy, binge watching television, having an uncontrollable sex-drive, etc.

Reviving an ancient and a natural culture.

Some of the most unspoken benefits of Cannabis are how it has played a crucial role in the lives of many great artists, writers, musicians, dancers, performers, revolutionaries, philosophers, saints, yogis, etc. They all gifted humanity with their profound wisdom.  But, our modern society has limited human experiences to consciousness degrading substances. Also a sort of bad behaviour between ourselves and towards all other living creatures are on the rise.  Cannabis possesses the ability to create a new outlook on life, better art, intellectual perspectives, sustainable growth and a conscious society that can create the best of civilisations.

We Have OUR Right to Conscience.

Cannabis is known for its psychotropic properties.  While many use it for various reasons, the general effects of Cannabis consumption help in shaping our consciousness to be more aware and purposeful.  It’s not just about a euphoric rush or complete mind-body relaxation. Cannabis can expand our consciousness which can help us to connect with our external and internal senses. Prohibiting the growth and use of this plant is obstructing a real spiritual evolution.  We are all conscious beings born in a cosmic world and an ideal society is the one where we have the right to elevate our consciousness as the situation demands.  We have our right to choice, right to believe and right to faith and religion. Saying no to Cannabis is like saying no to any other sampradaaya.

Gaanja is not a drug. It is a sacred herb.

Gaanja, is one of the greatest misunderstandings of the late 20th century in India.  The fruits of Cannabis which are the flower tops produce lots of compounds that can alter ones psyche to an extremely relaxed, focussed and elevated states.  These mystic flowers were once used by the wisest of men producing a harmonious world. But, it soon became a national taboo for no real reason. Practised by the sadhus, yogis, baabas, naagas, naathas, santhas and practically every sect of shaivism, the worshipers of eeshwara.  What was once used by our rishis became a dangerous drug which was listed among the list of lethal chemicals that can kill someone.  Destroying cannabis crops displays the magnitude of corruption and levels of ignorance which are running through our modern society.

Vijaya comes from the land of Veda and Ayurveda.

Vedas are one the proudest treasures of India.  Our rishis who wrote them were the scientists of our ancestral civilisation who understood the norms of the cosmic world by connecting their consciousness to it. They were bestowed with immense knowledge of our universe, world, mind, body, natural medicines and all the forces of nature.  In our very own Atharva Veda, Cannabis was referred to as Vijaya (success).  Our rishis considered it to be one of the most sacred plants growing in the land of Bhaaratha. They described it as possessing magical powers to restore balance to the mind, body and the world.  Prohibiting such a sacred plant puts our ancient knowledge and our traditional culture to great shame.  In the birthplace of Vedas themselves, ancient teachings and values should  be respected, not disregarded.

Bhaang is a spiritual tonic.

Cannabis was always used as the spiritual tonic in our country, and it was a norm to use it in our sacred festivals like Holi, Diwali, Vijaya Dashami, Shiv Ratri, Ram Navami and any personal auspicious days.  Cannabinoids, the compounds produced by the plant are very powerful in diluting the ego of the ones who consume it. These magical elevated experiences which come from its consumption are due to the presence of a spirit molecule, THC.  Those who have consumed Cannabis over longer runs have experienced a shift in personality towards a life where they are much more connected to themselves and their surroundings.  If offers the highest levels of focus and concentration, and many yogis and rishis have used Cannabis to reach these superior states of mind and consciousness while being close to themselves and their inner ‘Godhood’.  The world needs a safe evolution which requires a collective shift of consciousness. And there is only one way out. Spirituality.  There are many ways to being spiritual. But Cannabis use is one of the core practices of many spiritual seekers throughout history.  One cannot take away or ignore or ridicule the spiritual experiences that this plant can generate.

Cannabis can make us happy.

Just like how a stressed parent can only create a stressed child, only a happy person is capable of producing a happy world.  Being truly happy is one of the most important revolutions that the people of the world collectively need. Many users of Cannabis are not the addicts, but they are those who have experienced it and highly value the shift that the plant brings upon their consciousness.  When Cannabis is consumed, it results in a stress-free and happy state of mind.  To be happy, by any means, as long as someone is not harming themselves or others around them is their birth-right.
